La Thuile ski information
La Thuile has the best possible combination of gentle beginners slopes, long open runs, good off-piste and some exhilarating black runs. The fairly quiet linked slopes provide cross-border skiing to La Rosiere in France and visitors can enjoy fabulous scenery against the backdrop of Mont Blanc.
Skiing and snowboarding in La Thuile
Beginners:
Well-maintained nursery slopes, with green and blue runs available across the resort. There is a gondola to and from the village and overall, plenty of fun and confidence-building.
Intermediates:
Plenty of easy and difficult blue runs, plus many easy reds. There are also excellent, swooping red runs back to the village. Linked to La Rosiere in France, which also gives spectacular views of the Tarentaise and Isére valley in France.
Advanced:
There are several difficult red and black runs and some good off-piste. Heliskiing can be arranged (depending on conditions).
Snowboarding:
Mainly chairlifts and some fun slopes make La Thuile a good boarding choice. Look out for a few flat runs.
