Valmeinier ski information
Set amongst the spectacular scenery of the Maurienne Valley, the small purpose built resort of Valmeinier offers spectacular views over the surrounding mountains. The resort is linked to the traditional French village of Valloire to provide an excellent ski area at the foot of the Galibier Pass.

Ski Information Beginners
Both resorts have easy nursery slopes close the resort . There are plenty of good wide, open slopes on which to master those turns!
Ski Information Intermediates
A wide variety of pistes for the intermediate skier to choose from. Try the shaded, west facing slopes on the Crey du Quart or the long red from the Le Gros Crey peak into Valmeinier 1500.
Ski Information Advanced
Setaz offers several black runs and the mogul field down to Valmeinier 1500 is steep and challenging.
Ski Information Snowboarding
Snowboarders will love the wide slopes of Valloire and Valmeinier. There is a snowpark with half pipe at the Crey du Quart and plenty of good free-riding to be done on the extensive terrain.

Family choice
Valmeinier offers free lift passes for children under 6yrs. Club La Galipette (ESF) has starter ski tuition for 3-4 yrs and day care for children aged 3 mths-8 yrs. Open Sun-Fri from 0845-1730. Snow Savers
Ski in any other resort in the Maurienne Valley for just €10 per day (transport not included).
From 3rd April, the lift pass gives FREE entrance to the ice skating rink, tennis courts and cinema.
