Full hotel description

Hotel Viking has a fantastic location at the top of the Pleney ski area (accessible by cable car from Morzine) so you can be the first on the slopes! In the afternoons relax on the sun terrace with chilled music three times each week. There is also a weekly 'descent ' evening where you can enjoy music on the terrace in the afternoon before skiing down (or taking the gondola) to the Hotel Tremplin terrace at the foot of the piste with a DJ or live groups and bands.

for 2 people on half board sharing a twin room with bath and WC. Triple, quad and interconnecting rooms are also available. Triple rooms have 3 single beds. Quad rooms have a double bed plus a pull out bed and are best suited for a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Rooms for sole occupancy are available for a supplement. All bedrooms have been renovated and have cable TV. WiFi is available in the public areas (extra charge).

If 2 separate interconnecting rooms are required, 2 rooms with an 'I' must be booked, a quad with an 'I' is 1 quad room.

5th-8th February 2012 - K2 brand exhibition:
During the week K2 will set up a stand just in front of the Hotel Viking for 3 days. You will have the opportunity to try any of the K2 skis for free, and of course buy yourself a new pair if you can't resist!

24th-28th March 2012 - 'Rock the Piste Festival':
Put your skis on and head to these free concerts that will be taking place in some fo the wildest settings in the heart of the 'Portes du Soleil' ski area. The best international and French pop-rock artists will be leading the show for a music festival like no other in Europe. The day before each gig you will receive a text message with the location of the venue which will have been built overnight! All you have to do is register to receive the text messages - take a look at the website http:en.rockthe pistes.com/free-concerts-ski.html. During the festival week the Hotel Viking will organise a Pop Rock live group on the terrace (or inside if poor weather).

Mini Club
For ages 4 to 6 years your child will be taken to ski school in the morning and will be entertained in the hotel’s playroom in the afternoon. The Mini Club includes ski school pick-up & drop-off, am ski school (hours vary), skis & boots, lunch at the hotel, afternoon play club, evening club 19.00-21.30.

Kids Club

For ages 7 to 12 years your child will be taken to ski school in the morning and afternoon. The Kids Club includes ski school pick-up & drop-off, am & pm ski school (hours vary), lunch at the hotel, play club when they’re not enjoying the slopes, evening club 19.00-21.30.

Afternoon Club

For ages 4 to 12 years your child will be looked after in the hotel’s play club. This is a great option if you want to ski with your little ones in the morning and just want a couple of hours in the afternoon to blast away the cob webs or just find a relaxing deck chair at a mountain restaurant.
Price £115 per child per week (lunch not included)

Please note: Clubs are open during French school holidays only (17th Dec – 7th Jan, 11th Feb – 10th March & 31st March – 21st April). They must be pre-booked with dates of birth confirmed at time of booking.

Additional family services: Cots, high chairs, booster seats, baby bottle warmers and microwave (during restaurant hours) are available free of charge during your stay.

please note

Non-skiers will need to purchase a walkers pass (approx. €50 for 6 days) to use the cable car from the hotel into the village of Morzine; Hotel is not suitable for people with reduced mobility due to its location on the piste, a 25m walk uphill from the gondola.
