Les Gets ski information

A small chalet-style village with a French atmosphere, Les Gets is linked to the superb skiing and boarding of the Portes du Soleil. There are a good choice of restaurants and shops lining the main street as well as a popular outdoor ice rink which adds to the charm.

The Portes du Soleil boasts breathtaking panoramic views and some of the world’s most extensive and varied skiing. Avoriaz’s high altitude and north-facing slopes ensure excellent snow, perfect when combined with the scenery and charm of the villages of Morzine and Les Gets.

Ski Information Beginners

The area offers easily accessible runs of every level, making it ideal for beginners to gradually progress.

Ski Information Intermediates

The Portes du Soleil circuit offers a wide choice of slopes and the local slopes in Les Gets, including the excellent reds on Mont Chéry, make for some great skiing.

Ski Information Advanced

The world famous ‘Wall’, a very steep black run, guards the French/Swiss border. There are many other testing blacks, including the World Cup run from Hautes Fortes. The open slopes of Chamossière offers some of the best off-piste, with superb steep runs in the Linga and Pre-la-Joux area.

Ski Information Snowboarding

From the beginning of the sport, the Portes du Soleil area has made a special effort for boarders and it now boasts several superb snowboarding parks including Les Gets and Les Crosets. Les Gets is particularly good for the beginners and intermediates.
