Alpe d'Huez ski resort guide

Alpe d'Huez ski information

Alpe d’Huez is a great all-rounder, providing a full range of pistes for all standards of skier or boarder, plus superb resort facilities. The high sunny slopes provide an excellent viewpoint for the grand peaks of the Ecrin National Park.

Skiing and snowboarding in Alpe d'Huez

Beginners:

Unbeatable wide gentle green and blue runs for a successful start to skiing. The well-regarded ski school will provide the essential basics.

Intermediates:

The variety is great and the good conditions are difficult to match elsewhere. Fearless intermediates should enjoy most of the super long black runs from Pic Blanc. There are some lovely long runs down to 0z and Vaujany. Most intermediates would be working very hard to cover all areas of Alpe d'Huez in a week.

Advanced:

Ideal for experts as some of the most testing terrain in France is here, including La Sarenne, one of the longest blacks in Europe and the notorious Tunnel Run, plus many off-piste options.

Snowboarding:

Boarder-friendly and a good resort to learn as the park is ideal for all abilities. Experts will discover fantastic possibilities for off-piste.
