Fernie ski information
Fernie is a perfect ski area for all levels of skier or boarder and is renowned for its excellent natural snow conditions, record snow levels and 'steep and deep' terrain. The uncrowded slopes make it an ideal environment for families and first time skiers. An alpine resort at the base of the mountain provides a selection of bars, restaurants and shops, whilst the historic mining town of Fernie with its relaxed, laid back and friendly atmosphere is 5 kilometres from the ski area, connected by a regular bus service.
Representatives (Reps)
During your stay you will have the services of a remote rep who can be contacted 24 hours a day if you need assistance. There is no rep based in this resort but we will provide full pre-departure info for you.
Skiing and snowboarding in Fernie
Ski Information Beginners
The Mini Moose and Mighty Moose lifts are ideal for first time skiers and boarders. You will soon be experimenting over the whole of the lower mountain, which offers wide open slopes and is a great area to improve your skills.
Ski Information Intermediates
Take the Great Bear Express chair which provides easy access to the fabulous Cedar Bowl Terrain, or take the high speed Timber Bowl Express and White Pass Quad to new heights on the mountain.
Ski Information Advanced
An endless variety of terrain is available to the advanced skier where there are numerous chutes and ridges to jump off of. Explore the great powder where it is easy to make your own tracks and cruise down steep runs to the challenging moguls.
Ski Information Snowboarding
With an average snowfall of 875cm a season it is well worth checking out what is on offer. Freeriders will not know where to start, so head for Cedar Bowl and then onto the Cruiser for a wind down. Freestylers can launch the natural hits or ride the RCR terrain park located under the Great Bear Express quad lift, not an unhappy face here.
