Popular with repeat visitors from around the world, Borovets is Bulgaria’s most established ski resort. Offering stunning scenery and plenty of sunshine, there is great skiing and boarding, coupled with fantastic apres-ski and great value for money.
Skiing and snowboarding in Borovets
Beginners:
Excellent for learning to ski and improving, there is a wide choice of nursery slopes. There is extremely good instruction in English, with the area of Markoudjik very good for near beginners.
Intermediates:
A good selection of wide, open runs for confidence building. You can do fair mileage here and work on your technique, with some excellent red runs leading back to the resort.
Advanced:
For the expert skier there is the testing World Cup run, one of the more challenging pistes in the Yastrebets area or excellent skiing through the trees and off-piste.
Snowboarding:
Borovets is one of the best rideable areas in Bulgaria, with plenty of varied terrain, open pistes, some fun lines through the trees and a half-pipe at Rotata.
Learn To
Borovets is the ideal place to learn to ski or board. The resorts' gentle nursery slopes are the perfect place to gain confidence. Our excellent value for money our 'First Time' Ski/ Board packages are some of the cheapest in Europe.
First Time packages include a 6 day local lift pass, 6 days of 4 hour ski school, 6 days equipment hire and a ski evening. Board school is 3 days of 2 hours. Please note: the prices are only available if pre-booked before departure, and could treble in resort. First Time packages are for absolute beginners only and must be pre-booked in the UK.

Childrens Facilities
For customers staying at the Hotel Samokov there is a special offer at their Ski Kindergarten: 1 FREE child place (4-7yrs. inc.) when 2 adults pre-book a 'First time' or 'Improver' ski pack.
------- Another option is the Hotel Rila complex, who also offer their own independent kindergarten. Local charge is approx. 262 Leva (approx. £95) per child (facilities are limited). Located within the hotel building, the Kindergarten is for children from 12 months-7 years old inclusive, (12 months-3 years) are cared for by the nannies based in the hotel, (4-7yrs. some daily ski tuition also included).Please note: Places requested are guaranteed, but these services can only be booked and paid for locally.
