Ischgl ski resort guide

Ischgl ski information

High in the Paznaun valley, Ischgl has developed from a farming village into a bustling resort with plenty to amuse all ages. The village retains its traditional charm but around each corner you'll find boutique shops, top-class restaurants and glitzy bars and clubs. With an excellent snow record and 330km of pistes the Silvretta ski area is an intermediates paradise for skiers and boasts some of the best snowboarding in the Alps.

Skiing and snowboarding in Ischgl

Ski Information Beginners

Ischgl has some gentle nursery slopes. Under the expert supervision of the local instructors, beginners will soon be enjoying the wide, sunny slopes on the Idalpe bowl.

Ski Information Intermediates

The slopes of the Palinkopf area in Ischgl offer an excellent selection of red runs, including some particularly challenging ones! An absolute must is the 12km run from the top of Palinkopf down into Switzerland and Samnaun, returning by cable car to Alp Trida.

Ski Information Advanced

There are a good range of on piste blacks and some fantastic touring routes, but the area really comes into its own when you take a guide and head for the off piste, for which the area is renowned.

Ski Information Snowboarding

The Silvretta area is a snowboarder's paradise. Ischgl held the first ever snowboarding World Cup back in 1993 and now the facilities and atmosphere are better than ever! Of course the mountains are just the same - huge off piste, great freeriding terrain and now also has one of the biggest and best freestyle parks in the Alps!
