Hopfgarten ski resort guide

Hopfgarten ski information

Smaller than neighbouring Soll, Hopfgarten is relatively unspoilt and populated by friendly locals. The village centre has a traditional Tyrolean feel and apres activities are centred around the resort’s bars and fantastic restaurants.

Linked ski area

An excellent choice for snowsports enthusiasts, the Ski Welt is a truly fantastic linked ski area and, with 279km of piste, is Austia’s largest. Hopfgarten provides a traditional Austrian welcome, while Söll is known for its lively nightlife and variety of slopes.

Skiing and snowboarding in Hopfgarten

Ski Information Beginners

With many excellent English-speaking instructors and a variety of gentle slopes to build confidence, this is a fantastic area to learn. Söll offers superb uncrowded nursery slopes between the main road and the Gondola, whilst in good snow, the runs down to Hopfgarten are some of the best in the Ski Welt.

Ski Information Intermediates

With mainly easy runs, the Ski Welt is an intermediate's paradise, with a good choice of blue runs and lots of easy reds..

Ski Information Advanced

There are several challenging red and black runs, but the real thrills can be found off-piste.

Ski Information Snowboarding

Good for beginners, as the runs are wide and gentle. There is a good fun park and a half/quarter-pipe in Hopfgarten near Hochsoll, and in Westerndorf. Not ideal for the more advanced snowboarder, although there is some off-piste to keep them entertained.
