Where to stay

Choose the type of accommodation that best suits your needs and tastes. Here is a guide to the types available:

  • Chalets and ChaletHotels

    • Offer a cosy home from home atmosphere and informal, yet attentive service
    • Include breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals with wine 6 days a week
    • Best for groups or families who enjoy socialising with fellow skiers and snowboarders or who want exclusive use of their own chalet
    • ChaletHotels cater for a greater number of people, ideal for larger groups
    • The majority of our Chalets are managed and run by First Choice

  • Apartments

    • Self Catering allows more independence and the opportunity to sample the local cuisine
    • Our range of Apartments also include Studios, perfect for smaller parties
    • Apartments consist of one or more bedrooms, most with sofa/pull-out beds in the lounge area, and a kitchenette and are more suited to families or groups
    • Studios are much smaller and compact, accommodating up to 4 people
  • Hotels

    • Pensions and Guesthouses (known as Gasthofs in Austria) are usually small and family run
    • Hotels are generally larger with more facilities
    • Rooms are mostly based on 2 people sharing, with extra beds and single rooms generally available
    • Most are based on a Half Board basis, which includes breakfast and evening meals
    • Some offer Bed & Breakfast, allowing greater flexibility and freedom in the evenings
    • Grades and standards vary between resorts and countries
