How to learn

Ski or Snowboard School is essential for beginner ski holidays, not only to ensure a safe learning environment but also for a more enjoyable and rewarding experience.

There is a choice of tuition available with English-speaking instructors, which can be pre-booked in the Ski extras section at the time of booking:

  • 'Learn to' packages

These great value packages designed for beginners are available in selected resorts and offer the most effective way to learn to ski or snowboard. They are not available in resort and must be pre-booked at the time of booking.

  • Group tuition

Depending on the resort, group tuition is usually 2 or 4 hours a day, 5 or 6 days a week. On the first day you will be assessed by the ski school and then put into the group that best matches your ability.

  • Private tuition and ski clinics

Available for all abilities, private tuition offers a more personal and intensive lesson for 1 to 3 people, whereas ski clinics are ideal for small groups wanting to brush up on their technique. For both the emphasis is on quality, fun and learning. They must be booked directly with the ski school in resort and though more expensive, are worth it.
